How we test

For the apps we cover in depth, we open real accounts, complete identity verification, connect a bank, and — where possible — request and repay actual advances. We record every fee, timing, and limit change we encounter, and we date-stamp each page when we update it.

Why we exist

Too much of what's written in this category is rewritten from marketing pages, and it's often out of date on the numbers that matter most: the fee, the real starting limit, and the fine print. People turning to a cash advance are usually under financial pressure and deserve straight answers. That's the gap we fill.
